I went to my first national park only about 2 years ago, and a whole new world was opened to me. After Hurricane Irma and Maria destroyed my home in the U.S.V.I., I came back to the states with my trusty Jeep that survived the storms, and decided that now was the right time to road trip around the country. I knew that it would remind me of how beautiful nature can be after being surrounded and consumed by the destruction it can cause. I camped out of my Jeep on the road, mainly at free dispersed campsites, often in National Forests or BLM sites. The path that led me to all of these places might have started out rough, but I'm so grateful to have seen all of the amazing and unique places that exist within our own country. People always ask me where my favorite place was, but I have no one answer for them. All of our protected lands are protected for a reason- they are truly remarkable and will leave you in awe.
