Description

During my time in the San Juan Islands, I encountered a fox that paused long enough for me to take its picture. The setting was quiet, and for a moment, it felt as though the animal and I shared an understanding. Its eyes were striking—not just wild, but deeply expressive, carrying a mix of curiosity, caution, and wisdom that seemed older than the landscape itself. The photograph captured more than a fox; it preserved a moment where the boundary between observer and observed blurred, and the story was told entirely through its gaze.
