Description

Last year, D.C. had a pretty serious snowfall (for the area). At the end of a hike through the woods, the sun was setting in a field at the edge of the park. I stayed behind a little longer to catch the last rays of light. In the field were several old milkweed pods. The tufts were glowing in the evening light, and my hands going numb was worth the view.
