Description

Once-in-a-lifetime events call for being in the right place with the right people. So when the Great American Eclipse of 2017 drew near, my son, daughter and I made a 500-mile road trip so we could experience it together in a spectacular location: Cades Cove, in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I snapped this photo shortly before totality, two minutes of absolute wonder we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.
