Description

Sheepherders roam the high mountain ranges of the Wasatch National Forest in Utah, braving cold and harsh elements sometimes above 9,000 feet. These particular men are Peruvians who contract with sheep ranchers to do this work. They live a solitary life in simple sheepherder wagons surrounded by many dogs and a few horses. While today there are many proponents for and against range animals, it is nevertheless, a cultural reality.
