Description

Known for some of the darkest skies in the Southwest, Chaco Canyon, New Mexico is a great place to see astronomy and archaeology come together. Here, the Milky Way emerges from the ancient rooms of Kin Kletso, a Chacoan Great House that dates to the 12th century and built by the ancestors of today's Pueblo groups. Many of the Great Houses were oriented to the sky and contained both Solar and Lunar alignments.
