Mount Evans Recreation Area and Wilderness
Rocky Mountain Goat.
Mountain goats are a common sight along the Mount Evans Scenic Byway, the highest paved road in North America. These mountain goats can be quite entertaining to watch as they maneuver loose rocks or pause to take in their surroundings. This particular mountain goat I observed seemed to be picking up on a rather pleasing scent in the thin high altitude air.
