Description

A father gives his daughters an outdoor history lesson at Devils Tower. The sign near him says, "Historic Wooden Stake Ladder Visible Through Viewing Tubes." I watched him peer through both viewing tubes, then call out to his daughters who were climbing boulders nearby. Here, he's pointing to the remaining renovated section of the original ladder William Rogers and Willard Ripley used on July 3rd and 4th, 1893, to make the tower's first-ever ascent.
