Description

Indepence Lake is an alpine lake and the cold water beautifully reflects the sky and the lake surroundings. While enjoying this peaceful area you will hear the birds and marmots announcing their presence near you. The 1 mile hike to Independence Lake is short but not easy if you are backpacking. North Lake is just 2.2 miles passing Independence and the water and view are breathtaking.
