Description

I purposely visited Yosemite in late October 2024 in order to capture the autumn color and reflections. During other seasons the water is flowing swiftly with little opportunity to see smooth-water reflections. The Merced river was low enough that I was able to walk out to the middle of the river on a sand bar, set up my tripod and take a series of under/metered/over-exposed images (HDR) that allowed me to capture the full range of light > dark areas in the scene.
