Description

On the hike up to Hidden Lake Lookout, I noticed this valley, but the light wasn’t quite right yet. I knew that on the way back, the sun would be lower and would backlight the fall colors, so I made a mental note and hoped the weather would stay clear. Fortunately, it did. When I returned, the sun lit the valley in a way that made the colors look almost unreal, while a soft haze settled over the mountains in the distance. It was one of those fleeting moments where everything just comes together.
