Description

An early morning photo taken at Cataloochee Valley within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The rising fog and dramatic lighting drew me to this scene. This photo was taken on June 21, 2025.
I was camping that weekend at Cataloochee Campground and hoping to spot some elk in the meadow. I didn't see any elk, but the scenery was beautiful.
