Description

This photo was taken on July 4th, 2024 at Fort Stanwix National Monument in Rome, NY. It recreates a Revolutionary War artillery crew firing a cannon in salute of the reading of the Declaration of Independence. Fort Stanwix was the "fort that never surrendered" during the American Revolution. The cannon crew mare volunteers and park staff.
