Laurel Falls on Monday 11/02/2020
We had 5 families gathered in the Elkmont N.P. Campground for the last 3 days before NP closed the camp ground for the season. We had encountered quite cold weather and enough rain for the rangers to evacuate us all on Saturday due to bridge wash outs and flooding of parts of the campground. We were allowed to set up camp again and get some more trails and sites in before the camp closed on Monday 11/02.
On our way out of the park, we decided to go on the busy trail of Laurel Falls as the sun popped out from behind the clouds and we were given the best weather of our entire visit.
