Description

The Bodie Island Lighthouse shines brightly with the Milky Way accompanying it. This is one single exposure where the lighting worked out perfectly. The lighthouse flashes every 20 seconds which matched the exposure time of the camera, and the lights of a nearby building helped to illuminate the foreground. Also, the haze was just thick enough to make the light beams appear but was clear enough for the Milky Way to cut through.
