Description

Two young juveniles battle a much larger bull moose. While rutting season has just ended, the males still spar, but now in a playful manner. Early morning golden hour is a wonderful time to view them.
Getting the shot: I hiked about two miles from my car in heavy fog through thick sage brush, only to discover a team of photographers already there who had found the moose right next to another parking lot. Oh well. This let me get behind the moose for some backlit shots right after the fog lifted.
