Description

Located in the northern tip of Minnesota, only seven miles from the US/Canada border, the Grand Portage was once the largest fur trade depot in the continent. We visited this National Monument in June 2021 and were amazed to see the beautifully preserved grounds and the historical buildings of the trade depot. This image captures the view of the Kitchen and the Cedar-picket Palisade from the Lookout Tower.
