Civil War cannon on the Gettysburg Battlefield.
I positioned myself on the ground on my stomach to capture the cannon above the horizon as the first rays of sun announced the day.
My husband and I took a break from hiking the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania to visit this hallowed ground.
