Description

The Sabino Canyon Recreation Area in the Sonoran Desert is at the base of the 9000'+ Santa Catalina Mountains. There is a nearly year-round stream inside cliff walls covered with saguaro cactus. For visitors there is a tram that goes about 4 miles up into the canyon and many hiking trails of varying length and difficulty. Watch for birds and wildlife!
