Description

Beautiful rolling petrified sand dunes illuminated by a golden hour sunset in the Arizona desert, with the rock lines casting dramatic shadows. These formed 190 million years ago when the dunes crushed down to form petrified sandstone. Wind and water have since shaped them to what we see today. Getting here requires a rare permit via a lottery system.
