Description

A male Broad-Tailed Hummingbird sits on his observation perch. He returns here to rest, with a great view of all the rival males in this meadow. This picture was taken just before dark with strong flash, drowning out the background. I accidentally discovered that this hummingbird (or maybe hummingbirds in general?) is not disturbed by flash. I payed special attenion while photographing him to ensure I was not interfering in his life and not stressing him out.
