Description

b. I was up on Maua Loa, hoping for clear weather to shoot the milky way. Disappointed by the thick cloud cover that rolled in, I headed back down the mountain. On the way down, the clouds parted just long enough for me to capture the Milky Way’s galactic center with clouds reflecting a red glow from the lava lake in Kilauea’s Halema’uma’u crater.
