Description

Daddy’s Home
Western Grebes nest in colonies on lakes that are mixed with marsh vegetation and open water. With continuing droughts in California, it has been tough on these birds. It’s precious how the chick, only a few days old, reaches out toward its father. This is likely more in anticipation of food than anything else.
