Description

Watching brown bears in their natural habitat is one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Early one July morning we were out photographing a mother and her three cubs. The cubs were full of energy and were wrestling with one another non stop. The mother didn't seem to mind as she gazed on sedge grass just a few yards away from them. After an hour, all three of the cubs had had enough and began to settle down for a nap. Just as they had started to doze off on one another a young juvenile bear, walked out from a meadow a hundred yards away from us. Always on alert, this caught the attention of the mother and the three cubs. The cubs sleepily lifted their heads and looked in the direction of us (and the young bear) to make sure there was no threat.
