Description

My brother and I timed our visit to this picturesque waterfall; located on the North Fork Blackwater River; to catch the autumn color at it's peak and we were not disappointed. Ssome of the rocks are orange colored due to acid drainage from the Davis Coal and Coke Company which was established in the late 1800s. You have to be careful when scrambling over the rocks downstream as they are quite slippery.
