Description

The trail to the Little Lakes Valley, located in California’s High Sierra, starts at just over 10,000 feet in elevation, making it cold and inaccessible for much of the year. During the short season where it is more readily accessed, and when the conditions are right, its beauty is profound. A series of small lakes line the way, with towering mountain peaks all around. Here, Bear Creek Spire reflects off the mirror-like surface of the lake as dawn slowly starts to warm this frigid and crisp autumn day.
