Description

It was our first visit in Theodore Rosevelt National Park. We ventured a lot around the park then on our way back home, we saw stranded, cars. Good that everybody was inside the car because it is too tough in this pandemic time. Then later we saw this herd of Bison. They show their dominance in the park and as a matter of fact they are at the center of the road. We cannot do something after all it is their park, and of course they are the kings and queens. We waited and in my mind since I have with me the super telephoto lens I mounted it on top of the RV window, and keep looking for something. Then here is this big bull about to sand bath, I pointed my camera and lens towards his face and most particularly in its eyes, I was that close that almost I did it out of focus but I got it right. So, without any crop I got this image of Bison whose strength and expression of rut is shown in its face. This animal is very important to the Native Americans for food, shelter, religious, and some other purposes.
