Description

My brother and I went on a week long backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevadas in search of some of California's native trout species. This picture is of Cottonwood Lakes #4, which we were fishing for California's state freshwater fish, the California Golden Trout. When I found out about this fish, native to two rivers in the Sierras, I knew I wanted to go on this trip. The sun was starting to dip behind the top of the pass, which leads hikers to the 9th highest peak in the contiguous U.S., Mt. Langley.
