Description

Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is one of the many historical and cultural U. S. National Park Service sites in Washington, DC that grace the national capital. The site was originally developed by W. B. Shaw and his daughter, Lily, as a commercial garden that featured water lilies, lotuses and other aquatic plants. The gardens hosted many dignitaries who visited the capital and even supplied flowers for the White House. The park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
