Cape Perpetua Stone Shelter in Oregon was built in 1933. It was used as an observation post during World War II. On a clear day, the shelter offers a 70- mile view up and down the central Oregon coast. It sits atop the 45 million-year old oceanic shield volcano of Cape Perpetua.
