Description

What do you think of when you imagine a wolf hunting? Is it a pack sprinting through the forest chasing a deer? Maybe it's wolves hunting a buffalo? This answer may surprise you. Red Wolves tend to hunt small rodents such as voles, nice and invasive nutria in canals and agriculture fields. Larger animals such as deer and other big mamals can be too risky for a Red Wolf to hunt. Choosing between getting kicked and injured by an adult deer or gobbling up a few hundred mice, I think I would pick mice too.
