Description

Reflections in Lake Panamint, Death Valley National Park. Lake Panamint, which existed during the Pleistocene, is ordinarily a dry lake east of Panamint Springs in Death Valley National Park. After substantial rains, the water occasionally accumulates in the dry lake bed. I saw someone walking into the lake, and it appeared to be about a foot deep. I took the picture late in the day, not long before sunset.
