Description

The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park offers opportunities significantly different than the more commonly visited Island In the Sky District. While Island in the Sky offers mostly sweeping views of the vast landscape, the Needles immerses any visitor into the micro-landscape--discreet pockets of wonder. The towering spires and claustrophobic slots are all the result of spectacular grid-like faulting and give you the feeling of a kid in a playground when you explore them.
