Description

The clouds parted just long enough for me to get a shot of the moon rising unobstructed over the towering North face of East Temple Peak. I hadn't researched to see when the moon would rise that evening so it was a pleasant surprise when it emerged from behind the granite monolith. I often try to plan my shots ahead of time to achieve the best results but on this evening, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture what I think is a pretty cool composition.
